1952 Royal Spartan Spartanette

SOLD We have a 35ft 1952 Royal Spartan Spartanette trailer for sale right outside of Atlanta, Ga.  We lived in it for 6 months but we are moving into the city. Sadly, we have to let it go.
It has been restored with beautiful wood panel interior and charming vintage features. The only non working item is the vintage stove which looks beautiful but we never tried to fix it. The trailer comes with a brand new vintage style gas grill. There are 2 new ceiling mount AC units keep the trailer nice and cool. We had it officially appraised at almost $27k.  After the appraisal, we had about $2k worth of improvements done to it so it is worth well more than the asking price.  I can provide the appraisal paperwork for interested buyers which also had more details about the trailer.

1961 Traveleze

3/29/2018

Professionally renovated 1961 Traveleze - $80,000
This is a professionally renovated 1961 Traveleze, affectionately known as “Whiskeze”.  She is a complete rebuild and redesign of a classic trailer by architects Chang+Snyder of Oakland, California and builder Retro Restoration in Canon City, CO.  The end result is a reimagined space that is so airy, open and inviting that Dwell magazine called her a “tiny trailer that makes the world it’s living room”.  https://www.dwell.com/article/this-tiny-trailer-makes-the-world-its-living-room-bae706cb
Key upgrades in this renovation include the opening side wall that converts to a deck to allow for indoor/outdoor living, the full bathroom with walk-in shower, 320 watts of solar power with inverter and converter, inline hot water heater, and TV with wifi booster.  She also includes residential grade appliances, sinks, Kohler faucets and shower and a kitchen counter made from reclaimed barn siding by Wellborne and Wright.   Additionally, she includes LED strip lighting and recessed lights that are both efficient and dimmable by remote control.
Whiskeze will sleep two adults comfortably on the bed that converts from the forward lounge and one child on the convertible side lounge.
The build is incredibly solid and has been on trips to Colorado, the Mojave Desert, the Sierra Nevadas, the Fall River and Pacific coast beaches. Please note that you will be swarmed with people wanting to take tours of your shiny camper wherever you go.
Towing is a dream with the included Anderson anti-sway hitch system and the relatively light weight of approximately 4000 lbs.
The trailer has a 25 gallon fresh water tank, a 15 gallon black tank and a 20 gallon grey water tank.
Whiskeze is looking for a good home where she will get out more often and be seen.
She is located in Sacramento, CA.  Please contact Greg at 510-517-2061 or  gregpichephotography@gmail.com

History
Omar Suttles put the Airfloat travel-trailer into production in Los Angeles in 1930. His port-hole window Airfloat Trailer Coach is one of the oldest names in the history of American trailer coach manufacturing. Airfloat built trailers at its 1600 East Seventh St. location in downtown Los Angeles. In 1942 Airfloat began offering a 24 ft. model called the Commodore .  . Airfloat coach was one of the most expensive post-war trailer coaches available.

It was actually an airfloat coach that was the inspiration for the original book “the long, long, trailer” by Clinton “Buddy”Twiss. in 1949 Mr. and Mrs Twiss purchased a 28 ft. landyacht for their great adventure. however, a 1953 redman new moon 32′ was used in the 1954 film of the same name, starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.
