When I was 16 years old (1981) I worked for a man named Harrison Reno; at that time he was 79 years old. He had one of these in perfect condition. A practical RV for a practical man.

Wow..had a 1965 Cortez & lived in it from 1989-1996 while starting a biz and sending a Son to college & Law School. Also, attended college bowl games in it throughout Florida. Loved the huge amount of interior storage room, the wide passenger seat i used up as a comfortable bed, the comments i received and the pride of ownership of something really unique.

When I graduated from college in May of 1970, I was recruited by the now US EPA as a field technician and this was the mobile lab of choice. We drove these Clark Cortez's all over the US in performance of our lab work. The one that I drove, I believe must have been a 1969 or later model. It had the Dodge slant six engine and 4 speed trans. With front wheel drive and the driver being practically over the trans axle it was very maneuverable. I believe the clutch was hydraulic. It was a fun vehicle to drive but with the slant six was a little sluggish on hills. Would love to drive one again just for old times sake.

My father had the same year of Clark Cortez when I was born in 1969. We traveled the whole country in that RV and he loved it more than anything. I would be very very interested in purchasing this if you still have it, but I have no clue what they are worth so if you could post a price that would be incredibly helpful. I am extremely interested in this. Additional photos would be lovely as well. This camper brings back amazing memories for me.

I'm in the market for a roadworthy Cortez. Co-pilot is requiring it have automatic transmission. This listing, the '68 with 455, was ideal as prefer the '6x styling but will look at anything available.

Just under $10k for auction price, and buyer paid buyer’s premium. So the buyer spent about $12,500. My grandpa’s Cortez was pristine and I have been told is was the best condition Cortez by many people.
