1954 Ideal

Super Rare! Great condition. Recently resealed everything. No leaks or water damage anywhere. The brand is called "Ideal." It's a quirky name. Restored 1954 Canned Ham style Vintage travel trailer. The trailer is only 11 feet long, or 13 feet including tongue. Haven't had it officially weighed but professional estimated 1100-1200lbs. I can lift the camper at the tongue myself, so it's pretty light. It has a kitchenette, bed, and dining area. No Bathroom in this small style camper. No fresh water tank, it's only been used with a water hookup. You can tow this with any decent sized car.
Everything on this camper has been worked on in some way. The entire camper was stripped down to just the frame and all damaged wood was replaced. I have photos and receipts as proof. The carpenter that worked on the rebuilding/replacing the frame and damaged wood has been building homes for 40+ years. Included are some photos for proof.

-Tires are in great shape. Bearings were just repacked. Tows great.

-Both 12v and 110v Electrical works, all marker lights work. All electrical wiring was replaced, new fuse box added for extra safety.

- Rear Marker lights were replaced with LED lights so they're nice and bright, for added safety. Easy to see during the daytime.

-Original gas stove works. It was serviced by an appliance store. You'll have to provide your own propane tanks. Gas lines were recently replaced and two stage regulator upgraded.

-Original ice box! It was repainted to match the stove.

-All interior is original with the exception of the table and counter top, which are custom made. Vinyl seats in dining area were reupholstered.

-Insulation was replaced, interior of the camper stays warm in winter and cool in summer.

This thing is over 60 years old, and most everything is original, so some wear and tear is to be expected. Some dents on the front exterior from rocks, but diamond plating has been added to stop this from happening. All the polished aluminum is is decent to very good shape. The previous owner took a wire brush to some parts of the windows so there are scratches, but you don't notice them unless you're right on it looking for them.

Registration and Title are clean. Has plates and VIN!

This thing is unique.

Asking $10,000 OBO. All offers will be considered.

Located near Chula Vista, CA. I can tow and deliver it to anywhere in So Cal for a small fee once the camper is purchased.

Most of these are in Calif. Anyone know of a similar site nearer to Colorado.
