1950 Liberty Air Queen

SOLD
1950 Liberty Air Queen travel trailer. Some light restoration needed but very complete, solid and original.  Aprox 33 ft long, wt aprox 6850. Very tastefully done interior in birch wood, original wall sconces, heater, stove, and full bathroom. Plenty of built-in closets and drawers.  Fan driven, duct work heating system, sliding wood doors separating rooms, lots of window light.  Aluminum skin in overall good shape. Electrical system works fine.  Bathroom plumbing needs to be connected. Water tanks, waste tank are missing.  Some interior water damage on inside, not extensive.  Trailer has new tires, repacked bearings, tows easily.  Exterior lights, rear lights, directional lights working. This is an easy project which, when completed, would give you an unusual, very desirable vintage travel trailer.

I know this one sold but I'm buying the same model tomorrow but don't have all the tire information. Can you please tell me how many tires and what size are required for this model or what you have on yours? You can text me at(480) 682-7882 or email me at marnie_ramirez@ yahoo.com

I lived in this model/year/size trailer from 1968-72 in Tucson, Arizona. It was a great home. I'd love to have another—have it bronzed and mounted in my living room!

I'll bet this was yours! There is a box of Kodak slides from out west and a piece of petrified wood. all in one of the dresser drawers.

Could be! When I left Tucson in November 1972 I sold it locally. I suppose someone could have hauled it back east.

That could be the one I Kiev did in 1968-1972. Please post pictures when you get a chance. Sorry I have no info on the wheels/tires.

I lived in a trailer exactly like this one from 1956 to 1961. We lived in Cumberlad, MD. Moved back to Houston, TX in 1959 and Mom and Dad bought a new Fleetwood... Loved the Trailer, it was like new then a felt like you lived in a Yacht... This could be that same Trailer...

I have this exact trailer. It is in decent shape other than a leak in the kitchen. It’s unfortunately got a fence around it and permanent water lines to it. I’m curious to know, how much it’s worth?

Mr. Gaskell, where is your trailer located (state, city, etc.)?

It is in Central Florida. My grandmother kept it in great shape. We were in it alot when I was young. Only issue is a leak in the kitchen. All water and electric still work

I’m in California; clearly, I can’t just jump in the car and drive to central Florida to see it!

Trailers like this, after a complete restoration, can sell for many thousands of dollars. In as-found condition, a restorer would pay based on what they thought they’d have to invest in time and materials. From an individual you could get anywhere from a few hundred to a thousand or more, depending on condition and the buyer’s desire to have it.
