A dozen years ago we had two kids under three years old. Going camping seemed like a good idea to keep them busy and create some family memories. Our neighbors were selling their 1962 DeVille camper trailer and I couldn’t resist dragging it home.  I purchased the trailer, not because I thought it was cool, but because it was cheap. We wanted to go camping, but we did not want to invest a lot of money into a trailer. Not knowing if we would like the RVing lifestyle, an inexpensive, older trailer, seemed good enough for us. As owners of classic cars, the idea of buying something old and fixing it up made sense to me and Caroline. The whole family was excited to go camping in our “new” old trailer, but we had no idea how that simple $500 purchase would change our lives in such a positive way, forever.
