We are going to share tips we have discovered in rescuing and restoring these beauties. If you've got a good idea send it to me and include a picture if you can. placitinola@gmail.com

Painting Your Trailer

Automotive paint is the best. Self etching primer must be used on bre aluminum or paint will not stick. Anything from a budget priced painter to a customizer can give you a quality paint job in any price range.
Painting a trailer with house paint can be done with an airless sprayer and high quality house paint (Kelly Moore Acry-Shield). This is cheap but less durable/shiny. (Please don't paint original un molested trailers with house paint. They deserve a quality paint job). if you are on a budget or your trailer has already been brushed with house paint this may be an option. I painted a the above hard board sided trailer with house paint to give it a medium sheen and be more true to 1948 finishes.

That's Tim Brown helping me with the paint on my 48 Trailercraft. It's coral and off white Acry-Shield semi gloss.
