Panoramic image of living roomTour the Interior...Interior - All original!Original PaperworkExterior
SOLD Original, unrestored, barn-find. 25 1/2 foot. Newer tires. Interior electrical is 110 and all works including original corncob porch light and doorbell. Interior woodwork is incredible. Most shows very little wear. No water damage found. Water heater is intact and a switch to turn it on lights up but I have not tested the water system. I would replace it with modern/pex. There is only the one sink supplied by street water. (No holding tanks.) Floor covering is not in great condition, Throw rugs, or replacing it with Forbo marmolium would be a good investment. Windows and glass are all good. One window has a crack right down the center. It is hard to see because it is right over the center bar of the window frame. One window lever is missing a small part that helps it latch shut. Easy fix.
Exterior is Masonite and looks to have had only one re-paint (many years ago). Marker lights are all glass lenses but I have not tested or used the trailers 12v exterior lighting. Cloth roof has a seam that has opened up that will need to be repaired. We have sourced the material and information on how to do the repair. We got the trailer from the original owner last year and drove it straight from their barn to the Sacramento auto show as an incredible "Barn Find Original". It was very roadworthy from Vacaville, CA to Cal Expo and then back to Elverta, CA. We put newer tires (and ugly wheels) on it, but have not serviced any of the chassis or running gear. We do not have room to properly store the trailer. The next owner can finish it up to be a show stopper at rallies or add it to their museum, man cave or have the coolest guest house in town! Bill of sale only from the original owner. Sacramento, CA

Made my heart skip a beat! We had one like it and traveled all over Georgia & Alabama in it beginning about 1950, but ours was two-tone dark green!

We have one, a 1946 as well. It is still in use and is our hunting trailer. Not in as good a shape though as we cover the roof with a tarp.

Paul - Could I use a couple of your photos of this vintage Schult in a publication in the portion on the history of manufactured homes? I will give full credit if you will give me a name. The publisher doesn't pay for rights. Thanks.
